Increase the types of content you offer
Blogging may be the life blood of your digital marketing strategy but there are other types of content that your customers and potential clients may respond better to. In addition to blogging consider:
Understand people who visit your site are on a journey
Everyone who visits your site is somewhere different along what’s called the Buyers Journey. The buyer’s journey is the process buyers go through to become aware of, evaluate, and purchase a new product or service. Your offers need to speak specifically to where people are along the journey. Provide content for visitors in all stages of the buyer’s journey.
Selectively syndicate your content.
Seems like a new social media channel pops up everyday. While social media is important you don’t have to do them all. Use your analytics tool to determine which social media channels do the best job driving traffic to your site and concentrate your efforts there. Which brings me to my next tip.
Use and customize analytics
Analytic tools like Google Analytics have to be customized with goals and reports based on your companies specific needs. If you, or your agency have not set these up you can’t use it to make data driven decisions.
Publish the right content
Write content around the questions, issues, and challenges your buyer persona’s. This will help your potential customers not only find valuable information, but also help introduce them to your brand.
